Journal 01/2008

Journal Entry: Sat Feb 23, 2008, 7:22 AM

Journal and News
Hi there
I't was quiet long time. Okay i have to do my dialy work and it's hard currently. But i didn't stop shooting Frames. I guess they have to bury me with my cam ;-)

As i told you some weeks ago, *brueni and i planned a studio shooting. So please turn your head over at my recent deviations.

Shooting at a studio is pure fun but it's hard work too. I did already some shootings; firstly as assistant then as Photog. I never had someone wich i could say "would you mind to put the power up on the spot left?" i did it myself. Shooting together with Mike was cool, we supported eachother and there were some cool Shots.

Ah don't forget *rache-engel has finished his personal webpage some days ago. KillAllArtists.net He shows some of his own work wich he didn't published yet, some photog work and stuff. Have a look...

So take care until next time.

    Toughts about the Favourite
So lets loose some words about the first Deviation. what should i say i realy love the expresion and the light (he made it with fluorescent a good glass 1.4 and a good calm hand - well done...!). its special but shows much much emotion

The Second shot is one of the shots i can see in my head (i know it sounds weird) and i never have taken it so until yet. Superb!

And the third Done is that one with the Chili, it's conceptual simple (as long you got the idea) but well lighted and it hits my understanding of a good shot.

    End of November Journal

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 25, 2007, 11:54 AM

    Journal and News
    Hej!

Okay i stop kidding... i felt so after i realized that it was the 5th of Novmeber ;-)

As you see there's a new journal style... Thanks to `nyssi wich provides this nice style... i adapted some things and cleaned up some css lines...

Now i have a little category on my upcoming journals called Favourite Deviations. I will bring up at least one deviation each journal wich i think it's worth a look. There is no Deviation-of-Month-Whathever, good work is Timeless (and will ever be). But what's "good work"? For me personally a picture is good work when i look at it and feel the certain someting (i'm shure you got what i trying to say). Good work is a picture that i'm able to look at it over a long time and discover something new everytime i look at it.
In addition to the favourites i will lose some words (or thougts) about the picture.

To stay clear. I don't claim to rate a picture. I'm just showing what i like to look and what's a "good" picture from my point of view. I'm not a professional Photog and i didn't learned it from ground like others did. I do it as a passion. But i'm self-critical to the work wich has be done by myself.

In the last days i had to recap some of chris weeks journals, where he wrote about ethics in photography related to deviant art... and it made me think... i started to write a article on my blog (sorry german only) about this topic, but i didn't finished it yet. In this Topic i tend to write a novel (even if i try to be sharp, short and precise it wont come off).

So i have to suggest to go over to *brueni and check out his new Deviations wich he made. That guy couldn't resist buying a new glass (after he got his monthly wage / And this month he is unstoppable too - I think its about the weather here.)... Okay i have to say i'm not totaly guiltless on this point. It's a BOY! no sorry kidding. Its a Nikkor 50mm 1.4 Glass. I can't loose much words about my new glass until yet, but i'ts nice to shoot with luminous intensity!

Whats new currently? Anyone seen my Portfolio? Thanks again to my Buddy *brueni wich forced me to put that thing online (he mentioned to punch my lights of if i didn't bring this site online.) So the thing is online now... Take a look, write some Comments (if you hate it, love it or whatever you think.)

Okay well i seem to be busy all the time but, its now much better than some months before. I did shoot often the past few weeks.
Perhaps the Hip Hop Concert from our local group called Wurzel5. It was a nice gig (unfourtanely no backstage ;-) ) but cool, i got to post some pictures later. In between you can visit them at their Myspace. Their profile picture was shoot by me, just to mention... =)

Or the nice short arranged shooting together with *brueni his sister Angela and his cousin Alina, it was very nice to shoot with them and i think it wasn't the last time ;-) (Thank you all! And thanks too, to endure in this bleakness.)

So i close for this journal. If you like to say something about, feel free to comment.

    Toughts about the Favourite
The first picture is very clean, and somekind of futuristic, great lighted. Short: It's a great composition!
The second one shows the ability on concert shooting, first i thougt "Great Studio Portrait" but after reading that this picture was made live at a concert my mind was blown away.
